00:03I went to check out Mission Pacific Beach Resort in Oceanside, California

00:10What I found was a totally hidden gem in a low-key SoCal beach town.
00:14It's home to a rooftop lounge and pool overlooking the longest wooden pier on
00:18the west coast, and the rooftop is totally a vibe.
00:20We're talking surf-themed cocktails, bottle service, and a live DJ
00:24every Thursday to Sunday. It's also home to the Top Gun house,
00:28yes, from that movie, which is now possibly the world's
00:32most adorable pie shop. But save your appetite for dinner at Baye, the only
00:36Michelin star restaurant in Oceanside, with an eight-course Mexican tasting
00:40menu you can't miss. There are lots of activities on and off
00:44the beach, including taking out a boat and spotting dolphins in the marina,
00:47and renting a mini moke to ride around town in style.
00:50Did I mention it was very pet-friendly? My gold retriever definitely votes it
00:54number one.
