00:00We're two days out from France's huge semi-final clash against Spain here at Euro 2024 and a little
00:06bit earlier on we heard from two French players at a press conference in Paderborn. First up was
00:12midfielder Youssef Fafana, he came on in extra time against Portugal and he was one of those
00:17who scored his penalty in the shootout victory. He was asked whether he volunteered himself,
00:22he said not necessarily but he was never going to turn down the chance to take a penalty for
00:27his country. Despite the win France have received lots of critics for their style of play. According
00:32to Fafana that hasn't affected the team at all, they don't care, they're through to the semi-final.
00:38He also talks about captain Kylian Mbappe and the speech that he gave the side before the penalty
00:42shootout. Fafana said Mbappe scored three penalties in a world cup final, when he speaks you listen.
00:49Next up was forward Randall Colomuani, he started against Portugal, he was unsurprisingly asked
00:56about France's lack of efficiency in front of goal. So far they've scored only three times,
01:00two own goals and one penalty. Colomuani said it was more of a tournament-wide problem than a French
01:05one. The top goal scorer at the tournament has only three goals so far and many games have been tight
01:11and edgy. France know that they'll have their work cut out against Spain, it will be the tournament's
01:16top two defences and for many the Spanish have been the best in the tournament with wingers
01:22and Nico Williams in particular impressing. For Didier Deschamps' side it will be their fourth
01:28semi-final under him, they've never lost one so far, they'll be hoping that that trend doesn't end
01:34in Munich on Tuesday.
