00:35

00:40
Donathan Connor David, the Conservative Party candidate, 11,554.
00:48

00:59
known as Catherine Hayes, Green Party, 2,840.
01:06
Paul Thomas, the Liberal Party, 624. Hughes Talia Simone, commonly known as Talia
01:16
Simone, Marrington, Liberal Democrat, 4,113.
01:24
Henry Woodcock, commonly known as Parent Wood, Labour Party, 19,307.
01:39
Lawrence Walter, Reform UK, 8,952. The total number of ballot papers rejected
01:47
was 196. I do hereby declare that Parent Henry Rupert
01:54
Moon is duly elected for the Campbell and Redruth constituencies.
02:17
I would like to thank the returning officer, the counting and security staff, and of course
02:31
the other candidates. I'd also like to thank my agent Matthew,
02:37
organiser Jacob, Sue, Mike and Robert, and the remarkable team of activists in Campbell,
02:44
Redruth and Hale. Tonight, from Scotland, through England and
02:53
Wales, and here in Cornwall, a new wave of red is sweeping over the country. A wave of
03:04
hope and optimism and change. We're turning the page on 14 years of Conservative chaos
03:16
and misery. Here in Cornwall, this evening, a new Cornish
03:26
red wall has been established. In Campbell, Redruth and Hale, I will honour the trust
03:40
that the people have placed in me. To ensure more decisions about how we live are made
03:49
in Cornwall. To build our local economy. To revitalise our public services. To rejuvenate
03:58
our National Health Service. To build homes for Cornish people. To clean up our rivers
04:06
and seas. To deal with the scourge of child poverty. And to protect our language and heritage.
04:18
Tonight is a night to open a new chapter of hope and optimism. Tomorrow, the work begins.
04:28
I am ready for the challenges ahead. Muras, thank you.
