00:07Royal Troon, venue of course for the 152nd Open Championship. I'm here today ahead of

00:17the Open Final qualifying, which is taking place at four venues around the UK, including

00:25Dundonald Links, which of course is just a few miles up the coast here from Royal Troon.

00:33One of the longest days in golf, comprises two rounds as players battle for a coveted

00:42spot in the Open. 16 places, a minimum of 16 places are up for grabs at four venues

00:51around the UK, Dundonald Links, West Lancashire, Royal Sink Ports and Burnham and Barrow.

01:00The competition, as you would imagine, is pretty intense in those events. It's a great

01:06chance for players to tee up in the world's greatest golf championship. From a Scottish

01:13perspective, we've got Bob McIntyre, he's already exempt for the Open. As is Nairn amateur,

01:22Callum Scott, who secured an exemption through an amateur series that involved the St Andrew's

01:29Links Trophy, the Amateur Championship and the European Amateur Championship. Here's

01:36hoping that a few more Scots will be involved in the final major of the season, and Royal

01:43Troon in 2016 hosted a titanic tussle between Swede Henrik Stenson and Phil Mickelson, which

01:53Stenson eventually won. Massive crowd heading here for the latest edition of the Open, so
