Great Dane Was 100 Pounds Underweight

This senior great Dane was 100 pounds underweight. We talked to @bossfarmsfamily who rescued him from the shelter and turned him into the happiest galloping pony ❤️

00:00He just looked like a bag of bones.

00:05When I saw him, I just wanted to help.

00:07All right, so there you can see how bad it is.

00:10I mean, he was 86 pounds, and he's supposed to be 160.

00:14Look at this beautiful guy.

00:17You ready to get out of here?

00:25When I first brought him in to start feeding him,

00:28we knew that it had to be something

00:30that would gain a lot of weight.

00:32So Goliath hasn't been eating for a long time.

00:35What do you think, buddy?

00:37He didn't want to eat.

00:38He had just been let down, so he needed someone to trust.

00:42He finally gave in.

00:44Good boy.

00:46As I would go to feed him, it'd be more about connecting with him

00:49and letting him know, I'm taking care of you.

00:52I can feel how stuck in his jowls.

00:55You big baby.

00:58He passed out.

01:00He had became attached with me.

01:02I became attached to him.

01:04That's a big alarm clock.

01:06Hi.

01:08I'm such a good boy.

01:09He became a big grandpa for all of my other rescue dogs coming in.

01:14Quality sniff today.

01:16He does his sniff approvals.

01:18Yeah.

01:19Good.

01:20There it is.

01:21He is the intro dog for everybody.

01:23Every puppy sleeps in his little crevices.

01:26He became the glue to the pack.

01:29Come on, big man.

01:31He started getting better.

01:33Goliath got to 160 pounds.

01:35He was looking really, really good.

01:37He shines when you get to see him look like a horse just gallivanting.

01:41It's pretty impressive.

01:45He always crosses his hands when he sleeps.

01:48Once Goliath recovered, I decided that I wanted to be the person to adopt him

01:52I could never imagine anybody ever letting him down ever again.

01:57Yeah.

01:59Good boy.

02:00He's now my dog, so he gets the ability and privilege to be very spoiled.

02:06If he wants mashed potatoes, he can have it.

02:08He gets whatever he wants in this lifetime.

02:12Goliath has lived the lifestyle of his name.

02:17He went on the Hallmark Rescue Dog Awards

02:20and ended up winning Best in Senior.

02:22That also led him to go on the Kelly Clarkson Show.

02:27Everybody loved him.

02:28Every time he'd walk in a room, he would just light it up.

02:31Here we are, yet again, trying to put my boot and clothes on.

02:36Not letting it happen.

02:40He's our BFG. He's our Big Friendly Goliath.
