00:00The third edition of the Summit this year, we wanted to focus on the new generations because never as in this historical moment, we understand how they are part of maintaining a competitive advantage for our Lombard companies and therefore our challenge at this time is to try to fill this gap that is being created more and more, especially from Covid onwards.
00:25The data that we present today during the Summit are really alarming from this point of view because we have a growth rate of NEETs, we have a formative mismatch, but not only, that is, a mismatch between the companies that are looking for young talents to join and the young people who are trying to join the company.
00:42But this world seems to be silent, so we, never as in this historical moment, as young entrepreneurs, who feel a bit like the leading class of the present, we feel the responsibility of having to do something because if we do not convince the new generations to join our companies, they undermine the competitive advantage of themselves for the future.
01:00Surely today the reason why we are not only young entrepreneurs is the usual relationship with local and regional institutions, but we have also involved student associations, the young unions, we have involved them in a project, the University Box, which is the most important network at the national level that concerns the world of universities.
01:21And it is precisely with this entity, the University Box, that we will launch a project called Meet Your Future, which goes in the direction of filling this gap, creating more and more job opportunities for talented young people who must know the needs of our companies.
01:38It is certainly a continuous relationship with local and regional institutions, which are our main stakeholders, but what we hear today is that it is true that Lombardy is the Italian primate and in some sectors also European, from the point of view of the manufacturer above all, but we cannot today have the responsibility just to look and read these numbers, which still see us virtuous, but we must worry about keeping these numbers in the future.
02:04So we see that the relationship with the new generations, and therefore try to build a factual dialogue, perhaps also using alternative communication channels, where these new generations populate and exchange ideas all day long.
02:19So what we expect is precisely to be able to stimulate, on the one hand, young entrepreneurs to understand that we, too, of the Millennium Class, cannot keep ourselves out of this area, because today it is not that the world has changed compared to the generation of our parents or our grandparents, but of our own.
02:38In seven years, those of the Alpha generation will come in. What will they be? More than digital natives compared to the Z generation. These are the questions we have to ask, so today the stimulus goes in this direction, and certainly the Meeting Your Future project goes in this direction, to change this gap and this relationship with the new generations with a different mindset.
