00:00Dozens of celebrities and athletes joined Mark Wahlberg in Las Vegas to participate
00:07in the inaugural Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation Celebrity Invitational at the Cosmopolitan
00:12of Las Vegas.
00:13We didn't play very good, but had an amazing time.
00:14So many wonderful people came out here to support our foundation and people had a lot
00:23of fun, which is the most important thing.
00:25Having fun for a worthy cause, it's really nice.
00:32That's the best I've done all day, yes.
00:35And also the fact that we're out here for a good cause and having fun, it's great.
00:40Mark's a good friend, you know, we've worked together in the past, but more importantly
00:43we have a friendship and a friendship over golf as well.
00:47I love to read, and so the fact that he is trying to instill that in youth and if I can
00:53support it in any way and being here is probably the least I can do.
00:58Mark and how he conducts his life and does all these things, it just brings more eyes
01:02and more people to it.
01:03Because what the Wahlbergs do is amazing and they help so many people.
01:07Working hard for the people, using their celebrity and family brand to do things to help others
01:11and it just makes sense.
01:12Of course we're at Shadow, we're in Vegas, it's a great day, great group of people here.
01:22The finalists were on the links for the highly anticipated Celebrity Golf Tournament, followed
01:26by the fundraising gala, which featured entertainment by Busta Rhymes.
01:30Busta Rhymes, Busta, Wahlbergs, Tentator, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.
01:41This foundation that Mark has put together for the children, it's not only incredible
01:48but it's the ultimate bottom line.
01:52The foundation helps young people by creating and supporting initiatives like academic achievement,
01:58leadership development, positive behavior, healthy lifestyle and social change.
02:02You'd be surprised how much things may change over time when you start to give these kids
02:07resources and the ability to see beyond their scope.
02:10It's such an honor to be now in that position, to be able to do that and to be that person
02:15that a young person might look at and say, I want to be like that.
02:19It's not something that we need to make a yearly event, I think we should do it quarterly.
02:26This is Sonia Asad in Las Vegas.
