New virtual reality centre opens in Peterborough

00:50Now, VR Extra, we've opened in the last, I think, three months, four months,

00:55opened two sites, another four in the pipeline coming.

00:58But yeah, we're all about curated experiences.

01:01It sounds a little cheesy, but we're all about giving that little extra attention.

01:04It's actually one of our slogans, it's making every moment extra.

01:08We offer quite a lot of experiences, so whether it be curated escape rooms

01:11where you'll play with your friends and family, or whether or not it will be

01:14one of our tethered stations where you'll play just a mix of shooters or music games.

01:19You can just play on your own.

01:21We've even got our premium free room, which you'll see dotted around the building itself.

01:25But this typically is where you'll actually have a heads-up view.

01:35It's been a very, very quick, fast, quick process.

01:40It just floats up the water, really.

01:42Yeah, yeah, and it's just as quick as you can walk in to have a go.

01:45You've also got plenty of experience with some of those games.

01:48Yes, I mean, extra games, I think some of the extra games

01:51that we've had in the past, so this is very much a gaming game,

01:55it's very much a playtime game.

01:57It's one of those games where it works.

01:59Let's say, for example, you're playing a shooter game,

02:02and you start perfectly still.

02:05The moment you stop moving, you get out of the water,

02:07the bullets start to hurt you,

02:09so there's a lot of planning involved here.

02:11On our VR escape room, there's 13 different VR escape rooms,

02:14and there's one out of every 11.
