During his weekly audience in St Peter's Square, Pope Francis greeted an association that honors a late Vatican envoy to #Beijing. He called for prayers for the #Chinese people, amid the #Vatican's desire to enhance its relations with Beijing. There are an estimated 6 million #Catholics in China.
“This makes me think of the dear Chinese people,” Francis said. “Let us always pray for these noble and very courageous people, who have such a beautiful culture. Let us pray for the Chinese people.''
