A fiery political moment has gone viral as Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was grilled over Donald Trump’s mental fitness to serve as President of the United States.

During the exchange, RFK Jr. was pressed repeatedly on whether Trump is mentally fit to lead — and his response stunned viewers. Instead of distancing himself, he doubled down, calling Trump “the most sane,” sparking a massive debate across political circles and social media.

The moment has reignited a long-running discussion in U.S. politics about leadership, mental fitness, and the standards expected of those holding the highest office. Supporters argue Trump remains sharp and decisive, while critics question his rhetoric and decision-making in high-stakes situations.

00:00Representative Takano had referenced truth social posts from the president
00:05and I believe I heard your response to be that he was the most sane president.
00:11Do you care to comment any further or is that your question?
00:13If you look at that truth social post, I was pointing out the last line of it.
00:19It says, God bless the Iranian people.
00:21So it was clear that he was sending a nuanced message.
00:25He was sending a message of brute force and violence to the mullahs
00:30who incentivized them to change, but also sending a message of love and compassion to the Iranian people.
00:37So you can look at it and say, oh, it's insane that he'd make this kind of threat.
00:42But he's a dealmaker.

00:59If you look at that truth social post, I was pointing out the last line of it.
01:05It says, God bless the Iranian people.
01:07So it was clear that he was sending a nuanced message.
01:11He was sending a message of brute force and violence to the mullahs
01:16to incentivize them to change, but also sending a message of love and compassion to the Iranian people.
01:24So you can look at it and say, oh, it's insane that he'd make this kind of threat.
01:28But he's a dealmaker.
01:30He's a bargainer.
01:31Thank you, Mr. Secretary.
01:32I appreciate that.
01:32More sane than your uncle?
01:37He's very, very sane.
01:40So I grew up in a place called Tipperary Hill.
01:42He's more sane than Uncle Joe.
01:45Uncle Joe Biden.
01:46Thank you, Mr. Chairman.
01:48Mr. Secretary, you are the nation's top health official.
01:51And I want to talk to you today about the president's mental health.
01:57On April 5th at 8 o'clock in the morning of Easter Sunday,
02:02President Trump posted this statement on social media.
02:07Tuesday will be power plant day and bridge day, all wrapped in one in Iran.
02:13There will be nothing like it.
02:16Open the fucking straight, you crazy bastards, or you'll be living in hell.
02:21Just watch.
02:22Praise be to Allah, President Donald J. Trump.
02:27An American president used the F word in a Sunday morning message that was seen by millions of people.
02:37Mr. Secretary, does this raise concerns for you about the president's mental health?
02:43The president is a bargainer, and he knows how to make good deals.
02:48Mr. Secretary, does this raise questions about the president's mental health to you?
02:52Here's what I would say, that for two generations, every American president...
02:58Mr. Secretary, you're being unresponsive.
03:00I'm reclaiming my time, Mr. Secretary.
03:03I gather the answer, it does not raise concerns for you.
03:06Two days later, on April 7th, President Trump put out a statement that said, quote,
03:13a whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again.
03:18I don't want that to happen, but it probably will, end quote.
03:23Mr. Secretary, the commander-in-chief of the United States military is calling for the eradication of an entire civilization.
03:32And five days later, the president started posting on Truth Social at 9 p.m. at night,
03:38continuing until 5 a.m. the next morning, and included an unhinged attack on Pope Leo, claiming Pope Leo was
03:46weak on crime.
03:47And then, later that day, the next day, President Trump posted this image of himself as Jesus Christ.
03:57Mr. Secretary, people across the country and around the world were deeply offended by this blasphemous image.
04:07Millions of Americans are questioning this president's mental fitness, his emotional stability, and whether he can carry out the duties
04:15of his office.
04:17Do you share their concerns about his mental health?
04:20I want to call your attention to the last line of that.
04:24Mr. Secretary, my question was, do you share their concerns about his mental health?
04:27I want to call your attention.
04:29Mr. Secretary, you're not being responsive, apparently not.
04:32I'm going to tell you why I'm from now.
04:32Reclaiming my time, Mr. Secretary.
04:33I'm going to tell you why I'm from now.
04:34Mr. Secretary, reclaiming my time.
04:35I'm going to tell you why I'm from now.
04:36Mr. Chairman, direct witness.
04:37It's my time, Mr. Secretary.
04:39You're not being responsive, and apparently you don't share their concerns.
04:42We are a nation at war, Mr. Secretary.
04:46We need a commander in chief that we know has full command of his mental faculties and is emotionally stable
04:53as he sends uniformed American men and women into harm's way.
04:58Millions of Americans are now wondering if this president is delusional and thinks he is Jesus Christ.
05:08Mr. Secretary, given everything that I've shown you today, will you insist that President Trump undergo an assessment of his
05:15mental fitness and his emotional stability?
05:19Absolutely not.
05:20Thank you, Mr. Secretary.
05:22Reclaiming my time under, so absolutely not.
05:24I remind you that under the 25th Amendment, you have a duty to remove a president who is physically or
05:31mentally unable to discharge his responsibilities under the Constitution.
05:35It's your duty.
05:36You took an oath to the Constitution, not to President Trump.
05:40Mr. Secretary, should President Trump fail a mental fitness test or an evaluation about his mental stability or emotional stability,
05:50would you vote to invoke the 25th Amendment?
05:54There hasn't been a president who's more sane than the people.
05:56Mr. Secretary, my question is would you vote to invoke the 25th Amendment?
06:01Mr. Secretary, reclaiming my time.
06:02It's my question, my question, Mr. Secretary.
06:05Would you invoke the 24th Amendment if he were to fail an assessment of his mental stability or emotional stability?
06:12As I said, President Trump is emotional.
06:14Apparently not, Mr. Secretary.
06:15Apparently not.
06:16Mr. Secretary, we can all see that this president is mentally unstable, emotionally unstable, and is unfit to lead this
06:26country.
06:27You, as the nation's top health official, have a particular role here, and you are choosing your loyalty to Donald
06:35Trump over your loyalty to the Constitution and keeping the faith with the American people.
06:42Thank you, Mr. Chairman.
06:43I yield back.
06:44Well, you need the fundraising video.
06:47Mr. Chairman, I'm asking questions.
06:49The gentleman's time has expired and been yielded, and I couldn't ask the second grade classes to turn in again
06:56at this point.
06:59I would, I would, I'd hesitate to say something about the 25th Amendment with the last president.
07:05There was no concern there from the other side, but I won't say that.
