00:00When Jonny Berstow spoke to the media at the T20 World Cup, he insisted defeat by Australia
00:07would not derail England's campaign. It was a shocker of a display from the world champions
00:12that put more question marks around the opening batting line-up and the ageing squad that
00:18travelled to defend their trophy.
00:20For me personally, if I'm playing well and my body's good and I'm fit, then I want to
00:25be playing for as long as I can. I love and enjoy playing for England, but it could be
00:30the World Cup where I'm not feeling as good or I'm not playing well and I just decide
00:34that this is not me anymore. I don't really think too much about it, I just go on how
00:41I'm feeling at the time.
00:43Amazing to have Geoff back. I think someone of his talent, he's been out for a couple
00:47of years, but to have him back fully fit is amazing. To watch him bowl again for England
00:54is what we've all been hoping for for ages now. He's massive for us, he's very, very
01:00important.
01:01Pakistan have also made a slow start to proceedings in their group at the World Cup, losing to
01:07unlikely candidates America in their opener and being dismissed by India in the following
01:12game. Fakhar Zaman commented on his Pakistan side and their preparation for the tournament
01:18in England.
01:19Playing against England in England condition, I think this is the best preparation for us
01:27going to the World Cup, playing against a tough team. So we are really excited to play
01:33against them.
01:34We played many times against Jovra, he's a very good bowler and yes, we are very excited
01:40and we are more excited that we are playing a full strength team of England. So that's
01:46a very good thing for us. The player like Jovra, he's in a team, so of course it will
01:54help England, but it will help us to play against a world-class bowler.
02:00England had brought back psychologist David Young in a bid to help the team regain its
02:05rhythm. Young was part of the backroom staff at Premier League club Manchester City, helping
02:10them to multiple titles.
02:12Mary Nally commented on the importance of bringing him back around the squad ahead of
02:17the tournament.
02:19Having Youngie back in the changing room generally is great for the side and he's a good character
02:23to have himself away from his work. So when he's in and he's doing his work, he's great
02:30to have. Yeah, everyone's different. I guess me personally, I don't use psychologist too
02:37much and all that kind of stuff, but he's great for the team and yeah, just a bit more
02:43clarity on what we're trying to do as a side and roles as players and what does it look
02:48like in terms of are we positive, are we trying to be a bit cautious, are we going to adapt
02:51and all these kind of things. And then we just pick and once we decide on what we want
02:56as a group, then we fully 100% commit to that.
