Toddler Sandipan Dhar's death at Joondalup Health Campus sparks urgent review amid fears family ignored

Sandipan Dhar died in hospital in March after his parents raised concerns with GPs and hospital staff on several occasions about a persistent fever.

00:21 Over the next five weeks, the pair claim they either phoned or visited the Key Largo Medical

00:28 "Whenever we visited the doctor, they've been recommended for the twin adults and that's

00:34 We came back home again that it's all good and they said that our baby is all good."

00:40 And attended the Jundalup Health campus twice.

00:43 "They are just sending back us home, so desperately we said, which came to our mind, that do a

00:51 So at least you know that what is going on."

00:53 They say their requests for blood tests were denied at both the GP clinic and the hospital.

00:59 "The initial part of the investigation would suggest that the care was appropriate and

01:03 that we didn't hear of any repeated requests for a blood test to be taken."

01:11 "I do not want to say that anyone is telling lie because I do not know, but me and my wife

01:17 is not telling lie that I'm 100% confident."

01:21 Shandipan was being treated for a viral illness when he died at the hospital on March 24.

01:32 the GP clinic and the hospital."

01:34 A clinical review into the conduct of the hospital staff is yet to be finalised.

01:44 to hospital and if there is more that we need to do in this space, then we will do that."
