00:06Yeah, for us we've got four games, we've got to win three, so tomorrow is just another

00:12opportunity to get a second win on the board.

00:15And plenty of pitch talk happening, how much have you guys read into it or is it just watching

00:19how today's game goes?

00:20Yeah, we'll obviously watch a little bit of today's game, but I think we're pretty lucky

00:25in the sense that we play on a lot of different wickets.

00:28Like in the Netherlands we play on artificials, we play on spicy wickets, we play on spinning

00:32wickets.

00:33So yeah, for us it's just about adapting to whatever the wicket brings to us.

00:38Right, and in terms of the playing XI, you obviously went with a bit more batting depth

00:42in the first game.

00:43Is that a template you think that really works best or are you just feeling free to switch

00:49around or just play around with it?

00:51Yeah, I think we're comfortable with all 15 of our guys and depending on the conditions,

00:58depending on the teams we play against, will probably determine the team that we come out with.

01:03Right, and are you able to comment on obviously the pitch furor that's happened?

01:10Is that something that's ideal?

01:11Does that play around with, have you planned for the games in advance?

01:15Sorry, what do you mean?

01:16As in the pitch here in New York, there's a lot that's made of it.

01:22Is that something that, with all the constant changes to it, is that something that hinders

01:27your planning for the game?

01:28Nah, not really.

01:29I think, as I said, we're pretty comfortable that our guys are good at adapting.

01:34So yeah, we'll back those 11 guys that play.

01:36Fair enough.

01:37And just finally, about Sybran Engelbrecht, he hasn't really bowled since the Nepal series.

01:41Is there a particular reason for it?

01:43Like, you know, when Arindhat's not playing, he's someone that you can offer as a match-up

01:48to the left-handers?

01:49Yeah, absolutely.

01:50I know he's bowling well, but I think just the other day it wasn't required.

01:54I think all five of our main front-line bowlers bowl exceptionally well, so it just wasn't

02:00required the other day.

02:15is the team taking up a big cricketing nation like South Africa tomorrow, considering your

02:21two wins, your previous two wins?

02:24Yeah, as confident as ever.

02:26You know, we don't see it as a full-member, associate sort of – that's not the way we

02:31sort of think about our cricket.

02:33I think we've shown in the last few years that we're good enough to beat any side.

02:37So for us, it is just another game of cricket.

02:42What's your take on the CS World Cup?

02:44We've had really amazing, exciting games – USA beating Pakistan, and we've also had Uganda

02:51making their debut in the World Cup.

02:54Just what is your take on these smaller cricketing nations having a chance to play in the World

02:59Cup and standing tall against these big cricketing nations?

03:04Yeah, I think it's awesome.

03:07I think it's something that's probably a little bit overdue in terms of getting more teams

03:11involved.

03:12I think it's shown how exciting this World Cup's been so far.

03:15So I'm sure there's plenty more results like that to come.

03:20All the reports that I'm hearing is it is exciting seeing so many teams in the World

03:24Cup.

03:25USA hosting the World Cup, do you think ICC should consider hosting more such bigger events,

03:34specifically World Cups, in smaller cricketing nations?

03:37Yeah, absolutely.

03:38I think countries that have got the facilities to host big events like this, absolutely.

03:44I think it's been amazing travelling around and playing in different parts of the world

03:49that is probably not common to most cricketing nations.

03:56Did you see any of the USA versus Pakistan game and what do you think of it?

04:00It's a strike for the associate countries here?

04:04Yeah, we were all watching it.

04:07We were sort of watching it on the bus the last little bit in the Superover.

04:10It was obviously exciting.

04:13I think everyone around the world would agree that it's pretty cool to see.

04:19It's always nice to see underdogs and things like that.

04:21Obviously, USA has played a good brand of cricket for a little while now, so yeah, credit

04:28to them.

04:29I think it's very good for the World Cup.

04:32Do you think T20 cricket levels the playing field a bit more than the other formats of

04:40the game?

04:41Probably more so.

04:43I think these countries coming up and through have just improved the structures, the players,

04:51all that sort of thing.

04:52It just seems to be going uphill, like you see even the qualifiers for the 50-over World

04:57Cup.

04:58I'm not sure how much the format is the difference.

05:01I think it's just the standard of cricket that's coming up for some countries.

05:07Scotty, you guys have performed quite well in the last couple of World Cups.

05:12In terms of captaincy, do you think maybe the captain's armband sort of squeezes a

05:16little tighter this World Cup?

05:19I don't know about that.

05:22I'm not sure.

05:23I think, yeah, for us, we've got a strong group and we've obviously played a lot of

05:31cricket together.

05:32It's not one or two players standing up.

05:35We back all of our guys to stand up and win us games, so I don't know if there's extra

05:40pressure with that.
