Cardiff council has announced plans to improve ‘all time low’ levels of swimming ability in children. A council scrutiny committee heard that Cardiff was the worst performing area in Wales for children learning to swim, and will now now offer more chances for children to learn to swim.

00:48 in particular in Cardiff, so welcome the new plans.
00:52 The plans have been called vital by stakeholders and will be rolled out fully across the city by 2025 or 2026.
