James Hillier talks about riding different bikes from different manufacturers at TT 2024.
Transcript
00:00 We've seen increasingly, obviously you're one of the number of riders that are moving
00:04 between manufacturers between the different classes. Is that an easy thing to do? I often
00:11 hear you guys speaking after you've been out for practice qualifying and you're like, "I
00:14 need to get tuned back into being on a different bike now." Is that an easy thing to do these
00:19 days? Are the bikes becoming quite similar in that respect?
00:21 They're never really quite similar. I think there's a distinct switch between CC is obviously
00:29 a thing. Switching between manufacturer and CC is no issue really. It's not a problem.
00:41 And also contractually, I have no obligation to a manufacturer so it's nice. We're buying
00:47 the bikes and building them ourselves at the workshop in Cannock at PCR Performance. We
00:55 don't have to answer to anybody, which is a nice place to be. Kawasaki are helping a
01:00 little bit with the 636 but as I said from the start, we're where we're at and they're
01:07 happy and we want to win TTs so we will pick the best bike that we feel we can achieve
01:16 on and work with it.
