While taking photos near the Colosseum in Rome, model Alexis Mucci was called "hot". However, her unexpected reaction earned her praise on social media.

With 7.5 million followers, 36-year-old Alexis is known for sharing videos and photos in public places. Recently, she posted a video shot outside the Colosseum, where she was wearing bright red leggings and a black bralette. The video, which has already received over 8,000 likes, shows Alexis posing with her back to the camera when the sound of a car horn is heard.

Her expression quickly changed from happy to serious as she looked away from the camera. In response to the catcallers, she made an obscene gesture by showing her middle finger before turning off the camera. This direct response was widely praised by her fans, who quickly began commenting on TikTok about her attitude. One user said, "The perfect change of expression hehe gives you the idea. You are amazing."

The issue of verbal harassment on the streets, known as catcalling, has sparked intense debates. Many argue that this behavior contributes to women's feelings of insecurity in public spaces, while others see it as harmless banter. According to a study by the DDB Group, up to 84% of women have experienced catcalling.

In the United Kingdom, in a historic move, members of parliament approved proposals to criminalize street harassment, with the new laws coming into effect in March 2023. Offenders can face up to two years in prison. Countries like France and Belgium already have laws against such acts. However, in Italy, where Alexis resides, catcalling is still not recognized as a crime.
