00:00 [MUSIC PLAYING]
00:03 Hi, this is Avik Bhattacharya from Outlook Magazine.
00:07 So today we are with Kalpana Soren.
00:10 A name that we have been familiar with
00:14 for the last few years.
00:15 But in last few months, we have got
00:17 to see her in different rallies.
00:19 Whenever there is any opposition rally, one of the major faces
00:23 is Kalpana Soren.
00:25 We will welcome Kalpana Soren and we'll
00:27 ask how she has become from different world
00:31 to the political world.
00:33 How her journey has been.
00:34 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
00:37 So [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
00:40 The journey has started from Kapurthala, Punjab,
01:03 because I'm born in Punjab.
01:05 And being as a daughter of an army person,
01:09 my father has traveled many places
01:11 and we were traveling with him.
01:13 And since I stayed in Punjab, Haryana, UP, and Bengal also.
01:20 So the journey is like I have seen so many cultures,
01:25 traditions, and the food.
01:28 Everywhere, it's like mini India was traveling with me.
01:32 Like you can see my friends were from the different states.
01:36 And being as a student of the [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
01:38 you can assume like you are accumulated
01:40 with so many of different cultures and traditions.
01:44 And by the time you are living with that.
01:47 So the different food tastes have developed
01:50 and the culture I have learned, the traditions, the religions
01:54 I have been encountered with.
01:56 So I think I feel so blessed.
01:59 And lastly, when we came back to Odisha,
02:03 so my further education and all, it has gone up like that.
02:09 So I feel myself blessed because I have seen the India.
02:13 And within that small India with the discipline, rules,
02:16 regulations, and with the dignity, what my father
02:20 and what the army being an army person, family can assume.
02:25 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
02:27 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
02:29 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
02:31 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
02:34 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
02:36 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
02:38 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
02:40 So I feel love to go and want to celebrate and want
03:03 to taste that.
03:04 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
03:09 Almost a roller coaster ride, you can say.
03:12 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
03:14 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
03:31 It's being like surrounded with a few peoples.
03:34 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
03:36 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
03:39 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
03:40 I feel like [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
03:43 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
04:10 So being as a representative of Jharkhand,
04:12 Hemant Soren has done the same thing.
04:14 And he has given Jharkhand humongous [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
04:19 and it just touched every person,
04:22 like being as a student, being as a female,
04:26 being as any sector.
04:29 So I think [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
04:31 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
04:33 The responsibilities which is given by the party
04:49 and the love and affection which is given by the people
04:52 also, right now I am here.
04:54 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
04:57 One thing is for the last few months,
05:00 we have been observing that the ruling party, Vajpa,
05:05 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
05:07 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
05:09 Different, different sort of communalism
05:13 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
05:14 Polarization [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
05:16 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
05:18 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
05:20 Right now, we are not talking about any [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
05:25 The muda is left behind.
05:27 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
05:29 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
05:31 Unity and diversity [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
05:58 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
06:00 It's not about any particular caste and creed or someone else.
06:11 It's all about [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
06:15 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
06:18 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
06:20 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
06:22 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
06:25 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
06:28 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
06:30 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
06:59 Like he has given the pension.
07:01 He has given the [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]

07:30 Definitely, definitely.
07:32 Because I'm a Pratyashe from Gandhi.
