00:04 And the Research Institute in South Africa is conducting a clinical trial for the vaccine against tuberculosis.

00:16 More than 540 people were killed,
00:21 while more than 3,000 families were destroyed in the heavy flooding in the northern Baglan province in Afghanistan.
00:29 According to the United Nations, most of the survivors have no way to return home and no food.
00:36 For now, the World Food Programme has provided emergency food assistance to the survivors.
00:43 They also plan to distribute cash assistance in the coming days.
00:48 The WFP has called on the international community to help those in the midst of calamity.
00:56 The US and China officials held a closed-door talk in Switzerland,
01:02 including talks on security and artificial intelligence.
01:07 The two countries will discuss how to reduce the risk of AI.

01:39 According to scientists, the trial is in Phase 3 and studies whether the M72 vaccine can protect the elderly.
01:50 Between 50 and 60 percent of the expected trial participants will come from South Africa,
01:59 while 20,000 people from Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, Kenya, Indonesia and Vietnam will join the clinical trial.
