00:00Do you have any message for young people who are looking to get into journalism?

00:04Keep pushing. It's a really difficult industry to get into these days.

00:08When I started there weren't as many courses, there weren't as many opportunities to break in.

00:13Now anyone who writes a decent blog can take that to a news editor or to a potential boss

00:18and have that as part of their showreel and that wasn't really there when I started.

00:22So you've got to be more determined now, even more willing to push yourself

00:29and to succeed and if you get knocked back, get up and start again.
