Supermarket Sweep (S1, Ep 47 - Nov 9th 1993)

Today's contestants are Sally & Karen from Bristol, Chris & Kevin from Milton Keynes, and Carol & Pat from Newcastle. One contestant cannot see what is in front of his nose in the Mini Sweep, as Dale Winton somewhat waspishly tells him that "it'll do for good practice for the Sweep later on." Of the teams, he learns that one team met in prison (pardon?) and how one of them ended up with a burnt bum, another get their own back on Dale with a killer line when queried about his "unusual" job of tattooing, and the third still hasn't passed her driving test after 19 years! There are some good scores in the quiz rounds, but one team has a notable lead going into the Super Sweep. But it's not that clear cut as "Red Leicester" proves very much of a hindrance when it comes down to that shopping list...
