00:00So, John, we're here in a very sunny Ramsey, I'd say, today. It's not bad weather, is it?
00:06That's the day of the year. We timed it really well. Come yesterday, we wouldn't have got
00:10in because of the fog, so we're all right, yeah.
00:12Yeah, and just looking behind me, you've got a lovely golf course you're about to go and
00:15play on. We'll start with that. Are you looking forward to playing some golf?
00:18Yeah, yeah, and more importantly, you know, Craig's Heartstrong Foundation are backing
00:23it up. You know, it's always good to come over and, you know, do things that's well
00:27worth charities, and this is one. But this looks tremendous, and the 19th hole looks
00:33better, you know, when you come back here and you've got a nice pint and you're watching
00:36them come in. So, yeah, we'll have a good day, the four of us, yeah.
00:39Absolutely, and you guys probably do a lot of charity events and stuff like that, but
00:43how important is it to you guys to come out to these things and recognise charities like
00:47this that do so good for the community?
00:49Absolutely, we've done it. Fortunately, we're in the position to be able to help. You know,
00:54I've had my own one in Portugal for 23 years, the golf, so we know what it's like and how
00:59difficult it is to put together. So, the people who put it together have worked really hard
01:04behind the scenes, especially, you know, when you look at, you know, what happened with
01:11Craig, you know, and now we can help young people in particular, you know, in future
01:15to find out if anything's wrong with the heart or defibrillators or whatever you can do,
01:20you know.
01:21I've noticed it quite a lot recently, more and more in football, that these things are
01:24so important, aren't they? I know with Christian Eriksen's situation happening and stuff like
01:27that, it is vital that people stepping onto football pitches are safe.
01:30Absolutely, absolutely, you know, and if you can underline it and let people be aware of
01:35what I'm getting, I'm going to get tested, you know, just to make sure, you know, it's
01:40no harm you're doing, as long as you can get in with the NHS the way it's been treated,
01:44you know, as long as you can get in and get tested and make sure everything's all right
01:48for the sake of yourself and your family, yeah.
01:49And obviously we're here for an important cause, but we're also here to have a bit of
01:51fun as well, aren't we?
01:52Yeah, absolutely.
01:53And the bar's open, people are already enjoying themselves in the sun.
01:55Yeah, I've not won a drink before, I play badmouth golf without having a drink, so I'll
02:00leave it till the end when I can have a bevy.
02:02And as a Liverpool fan, I've got to allude to the Football Club, how do you think it's
02:05all going at the minute? Obviously, not the season we all wanted.
02:07Yeah, no, we've won a cup, you know, it's a major trophy, one of the three major trophies,
02:13we've won one, it's fell apart, it is what it is, you know, and, you know, we've just
02:18got to see the season through, be professional, try and enjoy the last couple of games, you
02:23know, win them, you know, and then Wolves is going to be a really emotional day for
02:29everyone, you know, not just Jürgen, but the fans who adore him, yeah.
02:33He's so attached to the city, isn't he? So attached to the club, isn't he?
02:36Yeah.
02:37And just finally on the Isle of Man, you're here today, have you been before?
02:41I used to go on the Isle of Man when I was young, every year.
02:44Really?
02:45I love the Isle of Man, it's deeply embedded in myself and my soul because when I had family
02:52holidays, we just came here, my dad and my mum brought me here with friends every year.
02:57I came on my own with my mates when I was a teenager, it was like Benidorm, Douglas
03:01was like Benidorm on the front, I tell you what.
03:03It's not like that now.
03:04Oh, no, yeah, some of the clubs and had some great nights out in the Lido and managed to
03:10get into the casino underage a few times.
03:13I even come here when I was 16 to the Isle of Man football tournament with the Blue Union
03:18and we got beat in the final.
03:21So, yeah, I brought Tram here a couple of years, pre-season training.
03:25So, on days like this in Douglas or some lovely places in and around Ramsey and whatever,
03:32you don't get a much better place.
03:34Take it from me, it's gorgeous.
03:36Well, hopefully we'll catch up with you later, John, and all the best for the golf.
03:38Thank you for talking to us.
03:39Pleasure, no problem.
03:40Cheers.
