00:00 Hi, this is Julia Fox, and we are gonna play smash or pass
00:03 with some of my most iconic fashion moments.
00:06 Oh my God, I love this one.
00:15 My assless chop moment with the horse tail
00:18 by the Incominist.
00:20 Definite smash.
00:22 So good, I love it.
00:24 My time as a dominatrix has definitely inspired
00:26 a lot of my looks.
00:28 I think it's really left an imprint on who I am,
00:30 and it's really like woven itself into my DNA.
00:33 It's a beautiful culture,
00:34 and I'm so lucky to have been a part of it.
00:36 I try to honor that and kind of bring it with me
00:41 on my journey of life.
00:43 [laughs]
00:45 Oh, definite pass.
00:47 This is probably one of my worst outfits
00:49 I've ever worn in my life.
00:50 It's disgusting.
00:52 Everything needs to be changed.
00:55 It's hideous.
00:57 I don't know what I was thinking.
00:59 Like, this is actually atrocious.
01:02 I think I was just like trying,
01:04 I always wear black,
01:05 and I was trying to do something different,
01:07 and I think like the options were just like kind of limited,
01:10 and I didn't really like anything else
01:12 that my stylist at the time had pulled,
01:15 and I was like, okay,
01:16 I guess I'll just do this weird pastel like number,
01:21 but it's really, it makes me wanna throw up.
01:24 Smash.
01:27 My real wedding,
01:28 I didn't know I was gonna be getting married,
01:29 so it was like my friend's just little white dress
01:32 that she had,
01:33 but she was like two sizes too big for me.
01:35 It wasn't this, so let's just put it that way.
01:37 I mean, this, Wiederhoft is like an amazing bridal designer,
01:41 so girls actually do get married in this outfit.
01:44 I feel like why should only girls that are getting married
01:48 get to wear their wedding dress?
01:49 Just like own it, get married to yourself.
01:52 Pull a Carrie Bradshaw.
01:54 There's just something really like beautiful
01:56 about like you can kinda see me,
01:59 but not all the way,
02:01 and there's like an air of mystery.
02:03 It's just sexy.
02:05 Oh my God.
02:06 I mean, I love this outfit.
02:07 I feel like this really started the denim craze.
02:10 Now in hindsight,
02:11 I probably wouldn't have worn those earrings.
02:13 I don't think this outfit needed the earrings,
02:16 but I love the eye makeup.
02:18 I love the pants.
02:21 I love like a titty cone moment,
02:24 and definite smash.
02:26 I love like a Canadian tuxedo.
02:28 I think it's just very American,
02:30 and I love putting a newer spin to like classics.
02:35 I just like breathing a new life
02:38 into like an everyday item
02:40 that normally you would like overlook
02:41 or not really consider couture, consider it special.
02:46 I like to make it special.
02:47 What about this one?
02:50 Definitely smash.
02:52 My, the fox eye, iconic.
02:54 I still wear it.
02:55 I think it looks good on everybody.
02:57 Everybody looks good with a blackened eye.
02:59 We were trying to come up with a makeup,
03:02 and my stylist showed a Helmut Lang reference
03:07 from a 1996 runway,
03:10 and then we kind of just ran with it,
03:12 and it took off from there.
03:14 So it's been a wild ride for the fox eye.
03:18 That's why I do things.
03:20 You know, it is for other people to enjoy.
03:23 We're all one, the collective consciousness.
03:26 So if I'm having an idea,
03:28 it's already in the universe, ready to be claimed.
03:33 Oh my God, this was, I want to say Moschino.
03:37 I had gone to the show
03:41 right before going to this event at the Guggenheim,
03:44 and I don't know,
03:45 I later found out like everyone hated this outfit,
03:47 but I like loved it.
03:49 I don't, I like it.
03:50 I think it's cool.
03:51 Pass.
03:52 I would have probably worn it differently now.
03:54 Maybe I'll add a little black leather,
03:57 you know, something a little more shiny.
03:59 Definitely not the red faux fur coat.
04:02 I would not wear that with this.
04:04 The hair could maybe be different, the makeup.
04:08 But I look really cute.
04:09 I look really baby.
04:10 I look really chubby.
04:11 I love it.
04:13 Oh my God, this outfit I actually wore pitching our show.
04:18 I was in LA pitching OMG Fashion,
04:21 and I wore this outfit to one of our pitch meetings.
04:25 So this helped us solve the show.
04:28 Safe sex.
04:29 Don't get pregnant.
04:31 Definite smash, definite.
04:33 This was at the premiere of Uncut Gems at TIFF,
04:37 and that skirt is Paco Rabanne.
04:40 And I remember at the time,
04:43 like there were some people on my team that were like,
04:45 oh my God, this is like really risque,
04:46 it's really out there.
04:47 But this was always my inclination
04:50 to just be a little more adventurous.
04:53 Now if I would wear it,
04:54 I would probably do my makeup differently,
04:56 my hair differently.
04:57 But overall, this is a smash for sure.
05:00 I remember that those shoes were just so tall,
05:03 and they were hurting my feet.
05:04 And I was just like, I had to walk across the stage,
05:07 and I was in so much pain.
05:08 I was like shuffling across the stage.
05:10 I felt like I was gonna die.
05:12 - I was Josh Safdie's muse when he wrote Uncut Gems.
05:14 - Right.
05:15 - Uncut Gems.
05:16 I didn't think I was saying it that crazy,
05:19 but it's also something I've had to say so many times.
05:21 So, you know, the words just like merge.
05:25 Oh, I love this outfit,
05:28 but the train got all like,
05:30 like, oh, I can't, this picture hurts my soul.
05:33 Pass, pass, pass, pass, pass.
05:35 The train got like wrapped around itself.
05:38 It wasn't training the way it was supposed to.
05:41 But the outfit itself is very cool and very beautiful.
05:44 Lots of drama, lots of theatrics.
05:48 It's a very strong look,
05:49 but my eyes just keep looking at that train,
05:52 and it makes me wanna die.
05:54 This party in particular,
05:56 they don't allow any stylists or managers or agents
05:59 or anyone there.
06:00 So you were kind of just like left to the wolves.
06:02 And then they're supposed to make sure
06:05 that your outfit is okay,
06:07 but clearly someone didn't get the memo.
06:10 And I guess maybe they didn't notice
06:12 that it wasn't supposed to do that.
06:14 They probably didn't know what my outfit was supposed to do.
06:17 So it's okay, it's not their fault,
06:18 but it definitely wasn't supposed to look like that.
06:21 Oh, this was recently at the Willie Shavaria show,
06:27 Definite Smash.
06:29 I feel like it's giving duvet cover,
06:31 it's giving pillow princess.
06:34 It's so much fun.
06:35 There's some skin, but not too much.
06:37 It's still tasteful.
06:39 I love the hat.
06:41 Just again, a lot of drama, a lot of fabric.
06:45 And this was a fun night.
06:46 That's my two besties.
06:49 We all kind of dress the same.
06:51 We like the same things.
06:52 We share clothes.
06:54 We definitely pass around all our clothes.
06:57 Like I remember my boyfriend gave me a pair of shoes
06:59 and Richie was wearing them
07:01 and then Brianna was wearing them.
07:02 And he was like, "What the fuck?
07:03 I gave those to you."
07:04 And he was all butt hurt.
07:05 And I was like, "Listen, you know what you signed up for.
07:08 You get three for the price of one and a fuck off."
07:11 Definite Smash.
07:14 I love it.
07:16 It just like makes me happy.
07:18 I knew I was gonna do the yellow hair,
07:20 but I wanted to do it in a way that felt really classic.
07:24 And then I just was like,
07:25 we need white 'cause of the contrast.
07:27 And this is what came out of it.
07:32 I have to be blonde for my next movie anyway.
07:35 So I was like, well, let me just like preemptively
07:37 have a moment platinum before I have to like
07:39 go regular blonde, basic blonde.
07:42 And I just love it.
07:43 And I'm never going back.
07:44 You know, you like what you like.
07:46 They're just like instinctual.
07:47 I'm just, I just gravitate that way.
07:49 It's different maybe.
07:51 And I don't see a lot of people doing it.
07:54 And I just always want to be doing things
07:57 that other people aren't doing.
07:59 (upbeat music)
08:02 (upbeat music)
08:04 (upbeat music)
