Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) midfielder Safiq Rahim became the third national footballer to be attacked within a week when the rear windshield of his car was smashed by unknown assailants late Tuesday (May 7) night.

00:16 According to the report, Safiq left the JDT training centre and was heading from Jalan
00:23 Sri Gelam to Lido Beach when he was approached by a motorcycle with two suspects at around
00:29 10.05pm.
00:31 He claimed the pillion rider took out a hammer and smashed his rear windshield.
00:36 Safiq stopped the car immediately and the motorcycle moved to the front of his vehicle
00:41 while the suspect pointed the weapon at him.
00:44 He then reversed his car, which prompted the suspects to flee the scene.
00:49 Johor Bahru South District Police Chief ACP Raub Selamat said an investigation is ongoing
00:56 under section 427 of the Penal Code for Causing Mischief.
