Kementerian Agraria dan Tata Ruang/Badan Pertanahan Nasional (ATR/BPN) menegaskan, akan terus memberantas mafia tanah yang menjadi penyebab munculnya keresahan terkait rasa keadilan di tengah masyarakat. Menurut Menteri ATR/BPN, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono proses penindakan dan pemberian sanksi tegas terhadap mafia tanah, tidak hanya untuk di luar lingkungan Kementerian ATR/BPN namun juga di lembaganya.
