The general elections in Panama are progressing normally throughout the country, more than three hours after the beginning of the current election day, to which the eight presidential candidates have already cast their votes. teleSUR

00:16 Some 3,037 polling stations are enabled, with 7,577 voting tables from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. local time,

00:24 to elect 887 public officials in a complex democratic process where it is won by a simple majority and there will be no second round.

00:33 In these elections, the new president and vice president of the country, 20 deputies to the Central American Parliament,

00:39 and 71 deputies to the National Assembly, will be elected.
