00:00 Airplane tickets have gotten a little cheaper recently, but not everywhere.
00:03 That's according to a study by Upgraded Points which found that the average round-trip airfare
00:07 was about 40 inflation-adjusted dollars cheaper in the third quarter of 2023 than in the third
00:12 quarter of 2022. However, prices vary at different airports. The large hub with the biggest increase
00:18 in price from 2022 to 2023 was Miami International with an 8.1% increase. A LendingTree study from
00:25 last year also found Miami to be the large airport with the biggest price increase.
00:29 On the other end of the scale, Upgraded Points said the large hub with the biggest decrease
00:33 in price was Orlando International with a 9.7% decrease. And last month, USA Today reported
00:39 that the U.S. airport with the lowest average airfare is Orlando Sanford International.
00:43 So if you're flying in the U.S., try to start out in Orlando.
