With just a day till Londoners head to the polls Liberal Democrat mayoral candidate Rob Blackie says people are "enthusiastic" about the Lib Dem's promise to fix the Met Police and believes that his party will make big gains in this election.

00:00 I'm feeling very excited. Liberal Democrat supporters up in London, people are very enthusiastic

00:06 about our promise to fix the Metropolitan Police, to get police back on the front line

00:11 and to cut crime. We're also helped by the fact that the Conservatives have collapsed

00:16 in London, their vote is down, people are really not enthusiastic about the Conservative

00:20 Party right now. And people are also very disappointed about Sadiq Khan's record, particularly

00:26 on crime. So that gives us a great opportunity. So I'm out campaigning today and tomorrow

00:30 for every last vote because we think we can make big gains in this election. We're working

00:34 very hard to get our message out to people so people know what we stand for and understand

00:39 why we'll be better than the alternatives. So that's been a few debates, but the Labour

00:44 and Conservative candidates have been running away from debates. And obviously it's been

00:48 knocking on doors and meeting people around London. So yesterday I was in Brick Lane meeting

00:52 local businesses and curry restaurants who were telling me about their problems with

00:56 business rates, but also of course their problems with crime. And all around London people have

01:01 been telling me how Labour and the Conservatives have let them down.
