00:16 We just don't feel that our university is our university that we want to be at and we
00:21 want to go to.
00:22 And so we created essentially our own university, our own space.
00:27 It's a place that we believe all Palestinians deserve the right to be free.
00:32 From LA to New York, Chicago to Boston, the protests have intensified.
00:37 They have unfolded at some of the world's most prestigious universities, including Harvard,
00:42 Yale, Columbia and Princeton.
00:45 Many demonstrators were calling on their schools to divest from companies involved in Israel's

01:18 Demonstrators, gathering for the 10th consecutive day, said they were at an impasse with administrators.
01:24 "With our demands regarding financial disclosure, there is some progress in that.
01:29 However, our main demand, which is divestment from the Israeli occupation, there is an impasse
01:34 in that."
01:36 Universities in some cases have called on police to evacuate students, with some accusing
01:40 the protesters of trespassing and of fuelling anti-Semitism on campus.
01:45 In the last week, more than 500 arrests have been made across major US universities in
01:50 relation to the protests.
