The Bovell Cancer-Diabetes Foundation, BCDF is an incorporated, non-profit, charitable foundation with a mission to enrich the lives of people living with cancer and diabetes.

On Wednesday, Board Member, Dr. Adelia Bovell-Benjamin expressed concern about the possibility of patient numbers increasing over the next 5 years.

00:15 Our numbers are increasing.
00:18 Of course, the chronic diseases are increasing worldwide.
00:26 We are no different.
00:30 What we have seen or what we have just seen released is that, in the developing countries,
00:36 we are the ones who are going to be hit very hard over the next five, 10 years with diabetes
00:45 and cancer.
00:46 We are seeing our numbers are going up.
00:48 MINISTER ELIZABETH YUDHIMBULU: Meanwhile, Rosetta Bovel, who is also a BCDF board member,
00:56 tells of the work the foundation does.

00:59 workshops.
01:00 We have online diabetes basics workshop.
01:08 We have other cancer awareness, cancer workshop.
01:14 And all those activities, we have school children.
01:21 We have the poster competition, prize-giving, lots of things where we have to find funds.
01:29 And it is all fulfilling our mission, enriching the lives of people one person at a time.
