00:08a 2010 meeting with the late King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia during investigations into

00:16The 37-year-old senior officer, Nur Aida Arifin, told the High Court on Monday that the Riyadh
00:22meeting where King Abdullah allegedly pledged donations to Najib was never mentioned by
00:27the former premier.
00:29The meeting, attended by Najib and high-level Malaysian officials, only surfaced during
00:34the SRC International Sendrian Bahad trial defence hearings.
00:39In the SRC International trial, Datu Sri Jamil Q Baharum, a former minister in the Prime
00:44Minister's Department who was present at the Riyadh meeting, testified that King Abdullah
00:49chose to transfer funds directly to Najib's personal account to strengthen political ties
00:55and to avoid complications associated with political organisations.
01:00Details of the donation emerged during discussions following an informal meeting on 11 January
01:062010 during Najib's official visit to Saudi Arabia.
01:10Najib, aged 70, faces 25 charges, including abuse of power and money laundering, involving
01:17RM2.28 billion.
