00:00 Hi there, I wanted to take a quick moment to tell you all about the poetry festival
00:04 that we have coming up very soon. It is the first Bank Holiday weekend in May.
00:08 This year we have Welsh language sessions, bilingual sessions, English readings, we've got
00:13 award-winning poets, live music, we've got writing workshops, there's so many things happening and
00:19 it's incredible to welcome over 30 poets to our tiny town by the sea in Wales. It's a perfect
00:25 opportunity if you haven't already visited us, why not make the weekend of it, come down, hopefully
00:30 we'll have sunny weather by the sea. There's lots of opportunity in between talks and readings where
00:35 people can kind of have conversations. Last year we had herbal tea and coffee here in the bookshop
00:40 as well as pastries and that kind of conversation and almost like networking and just talking to
00:46 other poets and other creatives is so important. Also if you've never been to something before and
00:51 you think maybe this is an opportunity to kind of meet other writers or kind of get your foot into
00:57 kind of that world, it's a really lovely opportunity with such lovely wonderful people.
01:02 Do drop a message and ask us any questions. Our inbox is open this weekend for any questions about
01:09 the poetry festival. You can also have a look on either our bookshop website or
01:14 aberystwythpoetryfestival.co.uk and have a look, there should be like lots more
01:19 answers there including the full programme lineup. We've got just amazing poets from Seren,
01:24 from Bloodaxe, from Faber, so check it out. We look forward to seeing you in some of our events
01:29 at the National Library, the Town Library, Bankville and we hope to include you soon. Bye!
