Made in Italy, Eli Lilly vince il premio Leonardo International 2024

(Adnkronos) - Il premio Leonardo International 2024 va all’azienda farmaceutica multinazionale Eli Lilly.  Uno dei massimi riconoscimenti dell’imprenditorialità italiana è stato consegnato durante la cerimonia nella sala Zuccari del Senato, premiando i 65 anni di impegno nell’ambito di ricerca, sviluppo e produzione di farmaci da parte di Eli Lilly in Italia. Azienda che l’anno scorso ha annunciato ulteriori investimenti nel nostro Paese per 750 milioni di euro entro il 2025, portando il proprio contributo al PIL italiano fino a un miliardo e mezzo di euro secondo un recente studio.

00:06One of the highest recognitions of Italian entrepreneurship was awarded during the ceremony in the Senate sugar room,

00:13awarding 65 years of commitment in the field of research, development and production of drugs by Eli Lilly in Italy.

00:20It is a great honor and privilege to receive such a significant award that represents the commitment to Italy of Eli Lilly,

00:28who has been investing in clinical research in many areas for 65 years.

00:33For many years we have a crucial site for the production of bio-technologies in Sesto Fiorentino, Tuscany,

00:40which already produces a number of our innovative products around the world, reaching more than 7 million patients.

00:47Last year we announced a significant investment in Italy, almost 750 million euros in two years,

00:55which should provide a contribution to the Italian GDP of over 1.5 billion euros by the end of 2025.

01:03Much of this investment is intended to promote our ability to produce innovative drugs

01:10to improve human health in various therapeutic areas such as diabetes, obesity, Alzheimer's, immunology and cancer.

01:18In particular, we plan to bring to Italy one of our most innovative products in the field of diabetes and obesity by the end of this year.

01:27It is therefore a significant recognition that certifies our commitment to Italy as a fundamental pillar of our global strategy.
