One teenage boy is dead, and another is fighting for life following stabbings near a school in Sydney’s west. Police believe the violence was gang related. They've arrested one person so far and are searching for several other suspects.

00:00 We're here at one of two crime scenes that have been established after multiple stabbings
00:07 at a suburb in Doonside, which isn't too far away from the local police station here.
00:13 The reason there's two crime scenes is because emergency services were called to reports
00:18 of multiple stabbings near a school at Doonside on Power Street at about 3.40 this afternoon
00:26 and before any crews could arrive there, two teenage boys arrived here at Blackdown Police
00:32 Station, which is about seven kilometres away from that school.
00:36 They presented here with serious stab wounds and officers attempted to treat them here
00:42 but one of those teenage boys died at the scene.
00:45 Another was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
00:49 Now what we've heard from police is one of the lines of enquiries in this investigation
00:53 is these stabbings could be youth gang related but of course this is still a fresh investigation.
01:00 One person so far has been arrested who was found nearby the scene of the stabbing but
