00:00 [MACHINERY WHIRRING]

00:03 We just grabbed a coffee, and we saw the gyrocopter

00:22 coming in the land.

00:24 So we said, we'll wander down and have a look.

00:26 And he was down in the middle of the lake

00:28 for probably five minutes, and then decided to take off.

00:32 And he seemed to be getting up to speed,

00:35 virtually ready to take off.

00:37 And maybe hit a little wave, and just cartwheeled over,

00:41 nosedive.

00:43 So you just saw the thing flip?

00:44 Yeah.

00:45 Yeah.

00:46 What happened then?

00:48 Well, a boat come to me straight over there.

00:51 And one boat swam towards the boat for me.

00:54 Yeah.

00:54 And the other one stayed with it.

00:56 So we had a line to the draft gyrocopter.

01:00 One fell and got into the boat.

01:01 The other one stayed with the copter.
