00:00 It's become a Saturday night ritual. Protesters gathered in the streets of Tel Aviv, calling
00:06 for a change in government. Some even lit a fire outside the defence ministry, others
00:11 blocking a main road through the city before police came to move them.
00:15 "We need a prime minister, a government that we can trust, that will finish this war and
00:22 we feel that Bibi Netanyahu is not finishing this because it's in his interest that this
00:30 chaos will go on and he is sacrificing the kidnapped people and sacrificing the people
00:35 of Israel."
00:36 Close by, a slightly more solemn rally as protesters held their weekly demonstration
00:41 calling for the release of their loved ones.
00:43 "I'm here tonight, like every Saturday night, to speak in the loudest voice I can for my
00:52 brother who has been a hostage 169 days in Gaza, speaking to the government to move forward
00:59 on the deal. Everyone is in Qatar, it's time to close the deal."
01:05 An Israeli delegation is currently in Doha for indirect negotiations with Hamas, which
01:09 the US, Qatar and Egypt are mediating. One of the sticking points has been finding a
01:14 hostage to prisoner ratio. An Israeli official now says the US has made a bridging proposal
01:20 for the number of jailed Palestinians that should be released by Israel in exchange for
01:24 every hostage freed by Hamas. An Israeli delegation is set to discuss this further during meetings
01:30 in Washington next week.
