00:00 Today I'm being transformed from androgynous to super feminine.
00:03 This is gonna be so weird.
00:05 I like to wear a lot of baggy clothing, a lot of masculine clothing.
00:09 I'm so nervous. I'm so nervous.
00:12 Are you ready?
00:14 Yes. Let's do it.
00:15 What the f***?
00:18 Oh my gosh!
00:29 I love you.
00:30 I'm emotional. You look like your mom.
00:32 Hey! What's up? I'm Hazel.
00:39 My name is Crystal. Nice to meet you.
00:41 If I could summarize my look in a few words, it would be androgynous, versatile, tomboy.
00:47 I like to just be very different than everybody else.
00:50 So if you see me walking down the street, you're like, "Yo! What's up?" You know who I am.
00:55 I like to wear a lot of baggy clothing, a lot of masculine clothing.
00:59 I'm not very feminine at all, so I'm different.
01:04 Today I'm being transformed into a super feminine look to surprise my best friends for a girls' night out.
01:10 The key elements of an insta baddie make the eyes pop, a lot of bronzer, contour, blush, making the lips look a little fuller, and for sure gloss.
01:22 Hazel, I'm ready for you.
01:24 A little scared.
01:27 Are you ready?
01:28 I'm so nervous. I'm so nervous.
01:32 I'm definitely going to try to make you look like you, but in a glam version.
01:37 My style developed throughout the years from when I was 18 years old, just coming out of the closet and everything like that, to now I'm 32.
01:46 So just, it's been developing.
01:51 I was a little baby lesbian trying to find myself out, trying to switch on different clothing and see what works for me.
01:56 Being androgynous means I could wear pants, I could wear baggy pants, I could wear a tight shirt, I could do whatever I like and still be a female.
02:08 So I'm just putting this essence, it's going to hydrate your face.
02:13 So what inspired you to get this insta baddie look?
02:17 So I'm revealing it to two of my closest friends, Miley and Ashley.
02:21 Okay, so you have me at the house. I feel like you're trying to kidnap me. I need to know what's going on.
02:37 Well, listen, patience is a virtue.
02:42 When you say transformation, like bow bow.
02:45 I mean, everybody in LA is doing it, so why not get a little pop.
02:49 They've never seen me like this.
02:54 I usually dress as a tomboy all the time.
02:57 And we're supposed to go out for a girls night, so it would be funny to see me actually going out as one of the girls per se.
03:07 It's been at least, wow, since I was like nine or ten years old when I rocked a real feminine look.
03:14 Yeah, I don't really remember. That's how far back it goes.
03:20 Right now I'm using the Patrick Ta palette, major dimension three. It's like a matte eyeshadow palette.
03:29 I always get judged on the way I look and dress.
03:32 Before it was a lot more negative, where if I'm shopping in the men's section, I get a lot of stares and looks, you know, like I shouldn't be there.
03:42 It's like, you look different. Like, why are you here? Why are you walking outside? You look like a man. Why are you in this bathroom?
03:50 So I always get looks and judged all the time. And I've dealt with it. It didn't change who I am.
04:07 Okay, now flip it up.
04:11 You look so good.
04:13 All right, we're all done. Are you ready to see yourself?
04:16 Yes, please.
04:18 Three, two, one.
04:25 What the f***? Oh my gosh.
04:32 Yo, this is insane. Who am I?
04:38 Yo, I'm a whole new person. I'm gonna date myself.
04:46 This is crazy. I don't recognize myself at all. This is insane.
04:52 It actually came out a lot better than I expected, to be honest.
04:59 I feel like I look so different. The only thing that's recognizable are my tattoos. Like, yo, how did y'all do this to me? This is crazy.
05:08 Her style, it's like very androgynous. No fam. Zero fam.
05:16 No fam at all. No.
05:18 Have I ever seen Hazel in a different style? No. No. Absolutely not.
05:23 I'm scared. I'm scared.
05:27 I'm not scared.
05:29 Oh my gosh.
05:49 Oh my god, damn. You're hot.
05:55 Oh my god.
05:57 F*** you, bitch.
06:00 Cross your legs. Cross your legs.
06:07 Shut the f*** up. Hazel.
06:14 That's not my name. My name is not Hazel.
06:16 Oh, okay, okay.
06:18 You look so good. You look so good.
06:25 I love it.
06:27 You ready for a girls night? Yeah, we're going out.
06:31 Oh my god. Contain yourselves, please.
06:36 You look like your mom. You look so good.
06:40 I love it. You look emotional. You look like your mom.
06:45 You look so good. You really do. You really do.
06:51 I'm going to do a quick little backstory. So my mom passed away a while ago.
06:55 And everybody always says I look like my mom.
06:57 Oh my god, I'm crying.
06:59 Oh my god, you look just like your mom. It's insane.
07:03 Ew, I'm so ugly.
07:10 Come on. She's got heels on her feet.
07:14 What size shoes are those?
07:16 The biggest ones they can find in the store.
07:20 Oh my god.
07:22 I got really emotional because I've known Hazel for a long time.
07:27 And I know how much she loves her mom.
07:29 And like, I know what her mom looks like.
07:32 And like, she came out and was like a younger version of like her mom.
07:37 She would love to see this.
07:40 She would have been like, "My girl in a dress? Ow."
07:45 I was very surprised that Ashley was crying.
07:48 I was very surprised at how happy they were to actually see me.
07:52 They weren't clowning on me.
07:54 Because I knew they were going to be shocked.
07:56 But I didn't know they were going to be that shocked.
07:59 This experience has taught me that I can rock both styles.
08:04 So I got so comfortable in just wearing, you know, my bomber jackets
08:08 and being a tomboy and being very androgynous and sticking with that tomboy style.
08:12 But I'm able to pull off both styles.
08:15 Do I ever want to switch it up? Okay. I can't.
