00:00 So I'm with Richard and Sue Allen from near Minsterley over at Shrewsbury Town Centre
00:06 tonight just outside the Shrewsbury Hotel where there's a big fire and police presence.
00:11 We understand there has been a fire somewhere in Mardle. You guys were out for a special
00:18 occasion tonight, do you want to talk us through what's been going on?
00:21 Yes, it was Richard's 70th birthday so we went to Le Mer Rouge which is a lovely restaurant
00:27 and we struggled to find parking in the car parks. We parked at the bottom of Mardle
00:33 and when we came back, unfortunately, we were not able to access our car and we don't know
00:41 when we'll be able to access our car. So we'll probably just have to get a taxi.
00:45 Does that mean your birthday money is going to be going on an expensive taxi out in the sticks?
00:50 Absolutely. Definitely. And nobody has very much information to go for. No information,
00:57 no progress, vast presence, nothing happening. Oh dear. Not quite the way you'd like to
01:04 end your 70th birthday I suppose Richard. So have you heard much from the officers on
01:10 the scene? Have they given any indication when you might be able to get out of your car?
01:14 No, just have to wait. They were polite but only forward. And they won't be able to tell
01:21 you when to drive, but they know to be very careful. It is 10 yards inside the car.
01:28 Well sorry about the disaster but happy birthday.
