00:00 So Adam you've been back home for three weeks now in Aladdin, how has it been
00:03 performing to a hometown crowd? Oh it's amazing, there's nothing like performing
00:08 to my home crowd and especially here in the wonderful Sunderland Empire. This is where it all began for me when I was 8 years old and it's just such a privilege to be back in Disney's Aladdin right here at the Empire.
00:21 And what's the response been like from the audiences? Oh the response has been
00:25 amazing, we've had a sound elevation every night, people are responding really well
00:30 to the magic, to the magic carpet, to the Disney element of the amazing costumes
00:36 and the fantastic songs. It's just been amazing, really really amazing. And Jafar's a
00:41 really fun character to play isn't he? He is, he's the opposite to me but he's quite
00:47 devilish and delicious I always find him and the thing I love about him, you never
00:52 know what you're going to get from him, whether he's going to fly off the handle or
00:55 whether he's going to attack, it's just a really really fun role to play. And we're
01:01 here today for the unveiling of a blue plaque for the Empire and it is a
01:04 theatre that's got huge significance and it certainly sparked your love of theatre
01:09 didn't it? It did, I'm so so privileged to be here for the blue plaque ceremony,
01:14 it's very well deserved for the Empire to get that and if it wasn't for this
01:19 this amazing venue then I wouldn't be where I am today, I wouldn't be playing
01:23 this amazing role. So a big big thanks to the Southern Empire, it's where it
