Trump Celebrates Super Tuesday Wins and Pivots to General Election

Super Tuesday confirmed what’s seemed clear for months: The Republican presidential primary is all but over. With a series of smashing victories, Donald Trump has effectively clinched the nomination. Before all the polls had even closed, the Associated Press called most of the 15 states in his favor.

00:01 They call it "Super Tuesday" for a reason.

00:05 This is a big one.

00:08 And they tell me, the pundits and otherwise,

00:11 that there's never been one like this.

00:12 There's never been anything so conclusive.

00:15 This was an amazing -- an amazing night,

00:18 an amazing day.

00:19 It's been an incredible period of time

00:21 in our country's history.

00:23 We have a great Republican Party with tremendous talent,

00:27 and we want to have unity,

00:29 and we're going to have unity,

00:31 and it's gonna happen very quickly.

00:33 And we have no choice, because November 5th --

00:36 it's right around the corner --

00:38 November 5th is going to go down as the single most important day

00:43 in the history of our country.

01:01 The things that are happening now are unthinkable,

01:05 and they're unthinkable at the border.

01:06 We have millions of people invading our country.

01:11 This is an invasion.

01:13 This is the worst invasion, probably.

01:18 No country has ever had anything like it.

01:21 The number today could be 15 million people,

01:25 and they're coming from rough places and dangerous places.

01:29 And we love our country, and we can't let this magnificent --

01:35 I don't call it an experiment.

01:37 I just say this is a magnificent place, a magnificent country,

01:42 and it's so sad to see how far it's come and gone.

01:47 When you look at the depths of where it's gone,

01:53 we can't let that happen.

01:55 We're gonna straighten it out.

01:56 We're gonna close our borders.

01:58 We're gonna drill, baby, drill.

02:00 We're gonna get the inflation down.

02:03 And we are going to make our country

02:07 greater than ever before.

02:09 But they come into our country, we're gonna stop them.

02:16 because our countries can't live like this.

02:20 Our states are dying.

02:22 And, frankly, our country is dying.
