Transcript
00:00 Voters in 15 U.S. states and American Samoa will head to the polls on Tuesday to indicate
00:06 whom they favor as their party's nominee in the November presidential election.
00:11 Democratic President Joe Biden and Republican predecessor Donald Trump are each expected
00:17 to draw closer to securing their party's nomination.
00:21 Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, who is trailing Trump for her party's nomination,
00:26 told NBC's "Meet the Press" Sunday she'll continue in the race for as long as voters
00:32 want her to be.
00:33 "They'll show it in their votes, they'll show it in their donations.
00:36 My focus is we need to start respecting taxpayer dollars.
00:40 We need to reduce the size of government.
00:41 We need to secure our borders and be a country of law and order.
00:45 And we believe in peace through strength."
00:47 Immigration is also among the topics that former President Trump chose to focus on ahead
00:53 of what is known as Super Tuesday.
00:55 "Not one more innocent American life should be lost to migrant crime.
01:00 We've got to stop it.
01:01 You have to get out the vote because we have to send big numbers up for November 5th.
01:05 We have to let them know that we're a freight train and we're going and we're not stopping."
01:10 President Biden, who visited the Texas border last week, accuses Trump of scuttling a bipartisan
01:16 border security bill.
01:19 This past Saturday, First Lady Jill Biden shed light on another topic that she argues
01:24 voters should consider ahead of Super Tuesday - women's reproductive rights.
01:30 "He's considering a national abortion ban.
01:35 Donald Trump is dangerous to women and to our families.
01:40 We simply cannot let him win."
01:43 President Biden is all but guaranteed to be his party's nominee.
01:48 On the Republican side, Trump needs to secure at least 1,215 delegates to officially secure
01:54 the nomination.
01:56 It could take several days for all of Tuesday's results to be formally announced.
