00:13 it's tough out there if you're going it alone. But, if you want to take a few shortcuts to
00:17 success there are plenty of cheats you can use to even the odds.
00:21 By using Valheim's console commands you can become invulnerable, teleport, reveal the
00:25 entire map and a whole lot more. In this video I'll show you how to implement the best examples
00:31 with a full, exhaustive list of cheats available in our written guide.
00:40 All of these commands have a single player mode only, and we don't know how using them
00:43 could affect your saved games, so cheat at your own risk.
00:48 Before you can use cheats in Valheim you need to activate the console by setting it as a
00:51 launch option in Steam. To activate it, right click Valheim in your Steam library and select
00:56 properties. Now look for the launch options field. In that type -console, then close the
01:03 general tab. In-game you need to press F5 to open the console, type dev commands and
01:08 press enter. To deactivate cheats type dev commands and press enter again.
01:13 If you want to easily find a certain biome, or you're just curious to see what your unique
01:17 world looks like in full, explore map will fully clear the fog on your map. Reset map
01:22 hides it again, but that includes the parts of the map you've cleared yourself through
01:26 normal exploration, so be warned.
01:30 You can also master the art of teleportation. Start by learning your current X and Z coordinates.
01:36 Enter POS to reveal the coordinates of the place in which you're currently standing.
01:40 If you then enter GOTO, followed by the X and Z coordinates, you'll be teleported to
01:45 that location. Use POS to make a note of all the best spots in your world, so you can get
01:50 the most from teleporting.
01:55 To quickly discover the best parts of your map for future teleports, just enter debug
01:59 mode. Press Z to activate flight, and use space and control to raise and lower yourself.
02:06 Debug is perhaps the most powerful cheat in Valheim, as you can also kill all nearby enemies
02:10 by pressing K, or build with no resource cost by pressing B.
02:14 If you're looking to get creative in Valheim, you can spawn pretty much any item you like.
02:21 For example, here we are spawning 50 of the first boss Icthyr. Not advised.
02:28 If you want to spawn more practical items, all you need to do is enter SPAWN, followed
02:33 by what you want, followed by a number. You can even spawn Haldor the trader, or give
02:38 yourself a few wolves and tame them instantly by entering TAME as a cheat.
02:43 It's important to know that any item you want to spawn is case sensitive, so make sure to
