Here's how to beat Medusa in Assassin's Creed Odyssey!

00:00Medusa is probably the best known of Ancient Greece's mythical beasts, and boy is she

00:19a character in Odyssey. Finding Medusa is fairly easy once you're high enough level

00:23to head on over to Lesbos. You'll need to be at least level 46 though, so Medusa is

00:29one that you'll want to take on when you're nearing the level cap of 50, because she ain't

00:33going down without a rock hard fight. Literally.

00:40You'll find the quest that'll start your adventure towards Medusa in the town of Eressos

00:45in the Petrified Valley on Lesbos. There's a quest called Romancing the Stone Garden

00:50and involves a lady whose lover has wandered too far into the Petrified Temple within the

00:54Petrified Forest, deep within the Petrified Valley. Are you sensing a theme yet? You'll

00:59have to help the woman, Brice, with a few things, namely fighting off the people trying

01:04to kill her, going to talk with a mercenary who claims to have killed Medusa already,

01:08spoiler, he hasn't, and also finding the key to Medusa's temple over on the island

01:13of Chios, within the Huntress village in the region of the Hunted Forest of Artemis. Once

01:18you've done all of that, you'll be able to head into the Petrified Temple to take on

01:23Medusa. Now, I'll warn you, Medusa does not mess around when it comes to combat. She ain't

01:28easy, but there are a few tricks to staying out of her line of fire. First, she'll send

01:32out some mercenaries to take you out, while she protects herself with a bubble shield.

01:37Deal with them, but dodge as much as you can because she'll be trying to turn you to stone

01:41while you fight and dropping lightning bombs on you. Fun! Then, when they're down, sneak

01:46and attack in on Medusa herself, before retreating towards one of the stone pillars that sit

01:51around the arena. She'll drop three lightning attacks from above in quick succession, so

01:56dodge them and then hide behind a pillar to avoid her stone gaze. Luckily, you can peek

02:01around the pillar to shoot her with some arrows while she's doing it. Just aim for the eyes,

02:05people. Then it's just a case of rinse and repeat until she's down and you can pluck

02:09the hidden piece of Eden from her golden snake hair. And if you do get hit by her stone gaze,

02:14just dodge until you do like Taylor Swift and shake it off. Prepare yourself for a long

02:19old battle, though.
