00:15 Kier, can you introduce yourself to our KRS-P since you were the first one to sing earlier?

00:22 Good morning, KRS-P. My name is Kier and I'm an independent singer-songwriter.

00:29 I really love and enjoy writing songs.

00:35 Okay, how about you, Russell Valdez?

00:37 Yes, I'm Russell Valdez. Good morning, everyone.

00:39 I'm also a singer-songwriter from way back in the Philippines.

00:44 I'm currently based in the US.

00:46 I've written a lot of songs and I also perform in a lot of events.

00:53 Kier, do you also write songs? How did you start?

00:58 Yes, writing songs is one of my hobbies.

01:03 I started way back in 2014 when I was asked to do a simple OST for my school film.

01:12 Before, I was just a feature writer for our campus journal.

01:18 I liked the idea of writing poems and then turning it into a song,

01:25 especially when I express my feelings or how I feel or what my listeners wanted to feel about my writings.

01:32 Okay, how about you, Russell? How did you start writing and singing?

01:38 I've been writing songs for a long time.

01:40 But after a few years, like 4 to 5 years, I stopped.

01:45 And then suddenly, I met this guy, the person Jimmy Borja.

01:50 He asked me to compose a song.

01:53 So I became his student.

01:55 Wow, so life is a complete circle for you, right?

01:59 Okay, Pan, what have you been up to lately?

02:03 And what are your latest projects?

02:05 I heard you have a new single?

02:08 Yes, that's one of the things I'm excited to do this year.

02:12 My second single, which is called "Huwag Sana,"

02:17 is for people who are in love but are suddenly dumped.

02:20 That's painful.

02:23 I released it on February 14.

02:26 I don't have a date yet, so I'm just waiting for Valentine's Day.

02:30 That's what I'm trying to do.

02:33 I'm promoting the song and I'm also invited to music fests and concerts and mall shows.

02:39 So it's okay, right? If you're bitter in life, just write.

02:42 That's right.

02:44 How about you, Russell? What are your projects?

02:47 I used to perform at events with my friends from the US.

02:55 Last year, we performed the National Anthem on a Major League Baseball in the US.

03:01 This year, March 17, I'll be performing with my friends,

03:07 the Richmond Filipino class, on the National Basketball Association,

03:12 or NBA, in Washington, D.C.

03:14 Wow, that's a big event.

03:16 It's going to be a game between the Boston Celtics and the Washington Wizards.

03:23 Wow, that's very proud, considering you're Filipino and you're going to sing in the US.

03:28 That's great.
