Cross Kitchen in Emsworth has been nominated for the Muddy Stilettos Awards 2024. The bistro cafe won the award for the 'best cafe' category last year and they are hoping to take home the title for the second year in a row.

00:00 Hello, I'm Gemma Cross, one of the owners of Cross Kitchen in Emsworth.

00:05 I'm jointly owned by my husband Stephen Cross, who unfortunately couldn't be here today.

00:09 We have been nominated for Maddy Stiletto's Best Cafe in Hampshire and Isle of Wight 2024,

00:15 which is a huge privilege, considering we won the award last year, Best Cafe 2023,

00:22 up against some amazing competition last year and no doubt up against some brilliant competition this year.

00:28 It was unbelievable to win it. To be nominated for the second year in a row is also unbelievable.

00:35 So we would love to be in with a chance of getting to the finals for 2024, which would be brilliant.

00:41 To win it again and hold the crown of two years in a row would be absolutely ecstatic.

00:48 Hospitality is a really hard industry, especially at the moment, so we need everybody not only to vote for us,

00:55 but to come in, see us, sample our foods, then vote for us and just support everybody really.
