00:06 A man in his 70s died on a street in Blackpool last Friday afternoon.

00:11 The pensioner was found unresponsive on Lord Street at around 4.45pm on Friday.

00:19 Police were called to the scene but despite the best efforts of emergency crews he sadly passed away.

00:26 The death is not being treated as suspicious.

00:31 A man slashed his throat moments before being tasered by police.

00:37 A drunken man had been disturbing residents in Swinley early on Sunday morning.

00:43 Police were called to the junction of Trafalgar Road, Wrightington Street and Dickinson Terrace.

00:50 After a standoff he then smashed a bottle and held it to his neck.

00:56 Householders told Wigan Today that the police tried negotiating with the agitated stranger

01:03 but as he became increasingly worked up a taser was drawn and he slashed his own throat with the jagged glass.
