00:00 I want to clarify that we have had 12 patients that we have treated,
00:05 11 of which are children with nine gunshot wounds.
00:09 None of those patients, all of those patients we expect to have a full recovery,
00:13 none of which are in critical condition.
00:16 Today has been extremely disheartening as we think about what we need to always be prepared for.
00:23 With that being said, our staff were ready and I'm extremely proud of our response.
00:29 With that, we are also going to have to make sure that we stay in tune to what is the care that's needed
00:35 after the violence that has been seen, not only for the children we treated,
00:39 but I would encourage us to think about that for all of the children and families in the community.
00:43 11 children, can you give us an age range for those children?
00:46 I can. Our ages were between 6 and 15.
00:51 We did have families that contacted us and we went through our reunification plan,
00:56 which was extremely successful for us today, and all of them have been reunited.
01:00 What were the children that you saw? What was their disposition like?
01:06 They're going through something.
01:07 Fear.
01:09 The one word I would use to describe what we saw and how they felt when they came to us was fear.
