00:44 for them to be out of control in the use of e-tricycles on the main roads.

00:51 Based on the MMDA data, 556 e-tricycles were reported to be involved in the accident last year.

01:02 What's more, there are e-tricycles used for the roadway.

01:07 That's why the LTFRB said,

01:09 We will consult with the MMDA and LTO and we will help in catching e-trikes and these kinds of vehicles that are used by the public,

01:26 even though there are no franchises.

01:29 If proven, they have been prohibited from using them on the main roads for a long time.

01:34 The problem is,

01:35 how will we catch them?

01:37 We cannot issue a ticket because there is no license for the driver.

01:42 We cannot charge the vehicle because it is not registered.

01:47 That's why a technical working group formed by representatives of various traffic agencies and LGU traffic heads

01:54 was established to follow the guidelines that will be a guide to regulate e-tricycles on the road.

02:01 We will study the registration of the vehicle, licensing of the person.

02:06 If they are not on national roads, even public roads, as long as they go out to the community,

02:14 they will be affected by the traffic and road safety.

02:18 The 42-year-old housewife, Joanne Pascual, admitted that her e-tricycle was a big help to her,

02:26 especially in her daily work.

02:29 That's why she is worried that the planned regulations will only bring her home with the high expenses.

02:37 That's why we got an e-bike so that we won't have to spend money,

02:41 we won't have to worry about getting a license.

02:48 The sentiment of food delivery rider, Jonel Pagasian, who uses an e-motorcycle,

02:53 does not go far from this.

02:57 But in one place, this is also good for everyone's safety.

03:08 The Electric Vehicles Association of the Philippines or EVAP,

03:13 says there is no problem with the planned regulation of e-tricycles and e-motorcycles.

03:32 If there is an accident, the responsibility is heavy.

03:39 According to the Technical Working Group,
