00:00 Hi, my name is Sam from Sussex World and today's top stories is from around the county for

00:05 Wednesday February 14th. A rescue helicopter and Sussex Police were called to report of

00:10 a person down in the water at a beach in Sussex. The police as well as the Coast Guard were

00:14 called to report of a person in difficulty in the water just off Brighton Beach between

00:18 the Palace Pier and West Pier. Coast Guard teams from both Shoreham and Newhaven were

00:23 called as well as the HMS Coast Guard search and rescue helicopter from Leon Solent as

00:28 well as RNLI lifeboats from Shoreham. Police confirmed that a man was pulled from the water

00:33 by beach patrol officers and taken to hospital by ambulance. His condition is currently unknown

00:38 at this time. Ahead of Valentine's Day, Eastbourne has been named the South East Romance Capital.

00:44 New research by luxury staycation experts Together Travel have revealed that people

00:48 in the Eastbourne area search for romantic getaways more than anywhere else in the region.

00:53 On average locals search for romantic holidays 2,790 times a month and per 10,000 people

00:59 that's 275 searches a month which is the highest in the South East. When compared to

01:04 the rest of the UK Eastbourne came in fifth. And finally a zoo in Sussex is celebrating

01:11 a rare kind of live in everything to the word for a pair of endangered red pandas with a

01:14 specially prepared Valentine's date. The romantic set up included paper hearts and pink bunting

01:20 was arranged by keepers at Drusida Zoo Park for their resident red pandas Maja and Mulan

01:25 in an effort to ignite an amorous flame amid hopes of welcoming cubs in the future. The

01:29 cute couple enjoyed exploring together and snuffling for the hidden treats of panda cake

01:33 and sweet red grapes and were even seen offering each other panda kisses in the form of gentle

01:37 nose taps.
