00:04 I currently have probably 247 tattoos covering my entire body. It became an addiction for me
00:10 So Richard we're all done are you ready to see yourself? I'm ready. Holy
00:16 Yikes my kids are gonna be scared to death right now. Oh
00:20 my goodness man
00:23 Oh
00:25 Hi, welcome to my house
00:33 My name is Richard and I've been getting tattoos for the last 30 years
00:38 I got my first tattoo before I went into the military probably in 1990
00:43 And then after that it became an addiction for me. I've tattooed 90% of my body
00:48 It just becomes an addiction for everybody. I don't care who you are once you start it
00:52 I currently have probably 247 tattoos covering my entire body and my goal is to be completely covered 100% covered in the next three years
01:00 Today a makeup artist is coming to my house and we're gonna surprise my family by covering up all my tattoos
01:04 It's going to be a big shock for me because I look like this for over 30 years
01:09 So today we're doing a tattoo cover-up on Richard
01:14 This face his arms his legs
01:17 It's gonna be a process where we're gonna color correct and then we're gonna add
01:22 Foundation on top to look like he has like no tattoos basically and yeah, it's gonna be fun. You're ready. I'm ready
01:30 We're gonna do a layer of powder and then we're gonna go over with this dermablend
01:38 Foundation and I believe we're gonna have to do two layers of
01:43 This so the tattoos won't come through. I've always wanted tattoos since I was younger
01:48 What was it about tattoos that became so interesting to you the excitement the artwork?
01:52 watching different
01:54 Designs on your body grow and it just it was exhilarating and not only that the pain tolerance was phenomenal
02:00 It just became a sensation that you just wanted more and more and more of
02:04 My first tattoo was a bear with the sailors hat when I was getting ready to go in the Navy
02:10 And it was located on my chest and that was in 1990. I started tattooing my face probably
02:15 12 years ago and I started off as like I said with the mouthpiece as a joke and
02:21 Then I just continued to go so I have the teeth here. I have my wife's name right here
02:26 My son's Frank's name here. My son jr. Here. This is my daughter's kiss and these are Jaden's footprints when he was a newborn
02:35 Now I'm gonna start the color correcting process I'm gonna start doing his arms first and then I'm gonna do this face
02:42 What product are you using on me now?
02:46 So we're using that EBA color corrector and the shape coral just to take out any of the blue and the black
02:53 Lines and your and your tattoos. I
02:56 Get judged a lot got a lot of negative comments about my tattoos people call me a monster or how disgusting it is
03:05 Or why would you do something like that to yourself and everybody has their own opinion of what?
03:10 They can think of me. You know what? I mean? I take care of my family
03:14 I'm a good father and I'm just normal and just like you just because I have tattoos doesn't make me a different person
03:19 So after we're done with this, we're gonna reveal this to my wife and my kids. My children love it
03:24 They plus they don't know anything else. They were all born. I mean when they were all born. I already look like this
03:29 When I met my wife I had already looked like this
03:32 My other ones were probably laugh my wife will probably say take it off my twins. They're the ones don't worry about
03:40 What do you guys think about my tattoo I think you look good lift taxes can take away whoever you want
03:48 It's like weird, but it's like cool. Yeah
03:52 I'm excited for you guys to see what I look like
03:58 Which you everybody considers normal, but yet I'm scared that the twins are not gonna recognize this
04:04 So now all the tattoos are covered up. So now I'm gonna blend it all together
04:08 I
04:11 Want to do this transformation for my kids. I want my kids to actually see what I look like normal
04:15 We're almost done now
04:17 We're doing the flecking which is adding some little freckles to make him look more natural more realistic
04:23 Skin light and it's like the finishing touch. So this is a alcohol activated paint
04:29 It's activated by 99% alcohol. It's by real creations ink in amber brown
04:36 So Richard we're all done are you ready to see yourself I'm ready this is gonna be crazy
