00:00Today I'm having my tattoos covered up and my wife is going to see my face for the first time.
00:0485% of my body is covered.
00:06I've spent $20,000 to $30,000 range.
00:10Let's get to work.
00:12Honestly, I don't even know what I look like without tattoos.
00:15It's time to get into your outfit.
00:17Ready?
00:19I hate this.
00:21My wife has never seen me without any tattoos.
00:24I'm going to give her the shock of her life.
00:27Oh my God.
00:32Hi.
00:33What's up cuz?
00:34How are you?
00:35Doing great, how about you?
00:36Good, thanks.
00:37Come in, come in.
00:39My name is Croussant and I've tattooed over 85% of my body.
00:43Got my first one and then immediately got hooked.
00:46The amount of money that I've spent on my tattoos, like just randomly guesstimating,
00:51I'm probably in the $20,000 to $30,000 range.
00:54The thing I like about tattoos so much is it's just, it's you.
00:57You know, you can express it differently how you want.
01:00There's nice tattoos, ugly tattoos, fun tattoos, you know, super meaningful tattoos.
01:06You can use anything to express yourself with them.
01:10It's all art.
01:12Today I'm having my tattoos covered up and my wife is going to see my face for the first time.
01:17We're going to be stippling on like a full coverage color corrector
01:21and then layering powder and then doing more and more layers until the tattoos are covered.
01:28Okay, Croussant, we're ready for you.
01:34Have a seat.
01:37We start with the orange and then we kind of gradually go to peach and then to like skin color.
01:45Why did you want to do this transformation to cover your tattoos?
01:48It's been years since I've actually seen myself without any tattoos
01:52and I was just really excited to see what it would look like.
01:55I started really late getting tattoos, so I was about 21 years old.
02:00My first tattoo that I got was this octopus on my arm.
02:03It's like super faded out now so you can barely see it,
02:06but that was the first one that actually started me into my journey.
02:09There's not really an end goal for the tattoos.
02:12It's just kind of one of those things that I like doing.
02:14I want more.
02:15If I see any art or see something that inspires me, I'm just going to get it.
02:19There's not really a specific end goal.
02:22I might get 100% coverage and then go back and get another 100% and cover it again.
02:34I do get a lot of judgment, negative comments just based off of my looks.
02:40Like, oh, he's a thug, he's a criminal.
02:42Just the other day I was at the clothing store, me and my wife,
02:45and we literally got followed around the whole time.
02:47Like, you know, they thought we were going to shoplift.
02:50When I first started getting the hate comments, it kind of bothered me a lot.
02:54But after a while, I mean, you know, they're just words at the end of the day.
02:59And most of those people that are saying that are usually miserable themselves.
03:04So have you ever covered up this many tattoos before?
03:07Not this many and not to this extent.
03:13Why did you want to do this transformation to cover your tattoos?
03:17I just was really excited to see how I'd look.
03:20It's been years since I'd seen myself without them.
03:24You were recently married. Tell us about the day you got married.
03:27We got married in Jasper, Canada.
03:30Best day of my life, super happy, loved my wife.
03:33It was great, beautiful scenery.
03:36How does your wife feel about your tattoos?
03:38My wife actually hasn't seen me without tattoos.
03:41I don't have a lot of baby pictures. I don't have a lot of family photos.
03:45So my wife has never seen me without any tattoos at all.
03:49I'm actually really curious to see how she's going to react.
03:52How are you feeling? Are you nervous at all?
03:55I'm feeling all right. I wouldn't say nervous, more antsy from sitting here.
04:00All right, we're all done makeup. It's time to get into your outfit.
04:03Awesome, let's do it.
04:08How are you feeling?
04:09Super nervous.
04:10You ready?
04:11I'm ready.
04:16Oh my gosh, it looks so terrible.
04:28I just got such a baby face.
04:31If the teeth weren't shining, I probably wouldn't even think this was actually me.
04:35I look kind of like a real Uncle Fester Adams, you know what I mean?
04:39That's the vibe I'm getting with this.
04:41Seeing all my tattoos gone, it's honestly really disheartening.
04:45I hate this. My wife might leave me after this.
04:50I think my wife is going to hate it.
04:52If she's even 10% as disgusted as I am with it, I don't know how it's going to go.
04:59We'll see. I'm almost shocked for words.
05:02I can't even imagine how she's going to feel.
05:04I like his current style a lot. I think it suits him too.
05:08It represents his music really well and it represents him just as an artist in general.
05:14Have you ever seen Croissant without tattoos?
05:16No, I've never seen Croissant without tattoos.
05:22Is this seat taken?
05:25Oh my gosh.
05:31It's a little different, you know what I mean?
05:33It's the littlest bit.
05:35You look groovy.
05:36I'm so glad you thought the same thing.
05:38I got more of a Fester Adams vibe.
05:40I was thinking like Howie Mendel.
05:44I'm surprised they didn't put teeth wax.
05:47Barely got the makeup on.
05:48Fair enough. Lovely.
05:52What does it feel like?
05:54Dirty. I feel really dirty.
05:56Ready to take a shower and wash it all off?
05:58Yeah.
05:59I didn't realize how bad my double chin was.
06:02Oh no.
06:03I was like I didn't realize the tattoos hid it.
06:05I know. That's why I did it.
06:07Until I saw it.
06:09Oh my gosh. I was like I'm sorry for catfishing you.
06:12So what do you think? Would you have married this?
06:16I don't know. I think I would have married you either way because of your personality.
06:20Because you treat me right and I love you to death.
06:23But the tattoos definitely add a little bit of personality to you.
06:28I'm not confident that my personality would be good enough for me to say the same about me.
06:35Because boy, I am not.
06:37I think it's just a little scary seeing you without tattoos.
06:40Yeah, which is ironic that it's scary.
06:42Does it make you more trustworthy?
06:44Well, the tattoos are coming back.
06:46Okay, good. I'm uncomfortable.
06:49Please don't get laser removal.
06:51I'm definitely not.
06:52You promise?
06:53If I was thinking about it, yeah, I promise I won't.
06:56Well, I still love you.
06:58I'm glad you do. I still love you.
07:04I could see when my wife first saw me the shock.
07:08You could tell she was almost as confused and shocked as I was.
07:12She definitely didn't like it.
07:14I'm glad she doesn't.
07:16Because she would have been sorely disappointed.
07:18This whole experience has really taught me to appreciate how I look with the tattoos.
07:24Sometimes I wake up and, you know, everybody does it.
07:28They'll look and say, man, I wonder if it'd be different or if I get discriminated against.
07:31I'll be like, man, I wonder what it'd be like if I didn't have tattoos.
07:35But honestly, I'm glad I do.
07:38Because if this is what I got to look forward to, this ain't it.
07:49Yeah, those lips are dry.
07:52Your nose has makeup all over it now.
